BEFORE APPLYING - TEST AREA:
  1. Always begin with a clean, bare surface, free of wax or grease buildup, sealers, etc
  2. Apply product on a small test area using the same procedures listed in “HOW TO APPLY”. Surface and brush texture will vary from application to application, so this is to indicate how much brushing time is needed.
  3. After a couple of minutes of brushing, run a small piece of leather or rubber over the surface to ensure slip resistance is at desired level.
  4. Repeat steps 2 & 3 until desired slip resistance is achieved.
  5. Wait until test area is dry, usually 1 to 2 hours, to make sure there are no problems with the surface, such as invisible build ups, which would react adversely with Grippa Safe™.
HOW TO APPLY:
  1. Use acid resistant, low pressure spray apparatus, such as manually operated pumptank sprayer or hand pump spray bottle with adjustable tip..
  2. Coverage rate varies with porosity size. Ceramic tiles use about 10 m2 per litre; granite, smooth or hard trowelled finish concrete uses about 7m2 per litre..
  3. Apply generously in a solid spray stream, treating only 3 to 4m2 at a time.
  4. Immediately begin brushing wetted area with a very soft-bristled brush in a circular motion. Do not use pads or hard bristled brushes.
  5. Total brushing time may vary from 2 to 8 minutes, depending on surface and brush texture.
  6. Light traces of lather are usually visible when brushing, If they aren’t you may need to spray apply more Grippa Safe™ while brushing.
  7. Generously rinse floor immediately after brushing to neutralise Grippa Safe™ before moving on to the next 3 to 4m2 area. Mop dry.
OTHER IMPORTANT NOTES:
  • Avoid splattering surfaces not intended for treatment. Damage could occur.
  • Avoid contact with eyes or skin. Use protective eye wear and latex gloves.
  • Surface traction effectiveness can be field tested before and after an application by sliding a piece of rubber or leather over treated surface to determine traction quality increase.
  • Read Material Safety Data Sheet prior to use.
